We start with a gooey filling made with premium dates, then mix in roasted peanuts for a little crunch. Everything is coated in a decadent dark chocolate. WHY DATES?

We set out to make a better for you version of the classic candy bar without sacrificing taste! This led us to choosing dates as our base instead of a bunch of synthetic ingredients. Dates have a naturally chewy and sweet, caramel like flavor all on their own!

FOUNDED IN NYC

Our founder, Caron, started Simply Gum in 2014 after she discovered that regular chewing gum is filled with artificial ingredients. She started making batches of gum in her NYC apartment & sold the first Simply Gum products in stores throughout Manhattan.

GOOD INGREDIENTS

What we put into our products (and what we leave out) is so important to us. Our candy bars start with a date base, then we mix in crunchy peanuts everything is coated with a decadent dark chocolate. We don't add any artificial sweeteners, flavors or colors!

They are delicious candies, but my second order had a different more flat shape, were sweeter and less peanut pieces than the first my first order.

These Bars Are A Really Great Treat!

I first found and fell in love with the original thicker bars, then they changed to a new formula and though different the new ones are good too they are a different texture and have more of a gooey Carmely inside vs the thick nutty texture but they are really good and I would buy both kinds if they still made them. If you are looking for a healthy, gluten free and even vegan sweet treat than I’m sure you will find these to hit that spot!

False advertising based on packaging

The photo on the packaging is not what you get in the bag. The volume of chocolate shown in the picture is 3-5 times thicker than the minimal enrobing on the actual product. As far as taste and quality goes they are okay. I'd suggest adding accurate photos of the actual product or creating a product that looks like the one on the package. I purchased these at Whole Foods for $7.99 a bag, unfortunately for 6 pieces I can't get behind that price point.

Good flavor

Great taste - just the right amount of chewy but not sticky or too hard. Would recommend. Nice to eat a candy substitute that has good ingredients - nothing bad Not too sweet - just right with the dates & coconut sugar.
